Cowboy Campfire Sunset Ride – 2 Hours

For the first time ever Red Canyon Lodge is offering Cowboy Campfire Sunset Rides. Red Canyon Lodge sits on the canyon rim overlooking Flaming Gorge.  The sunsets here are unforgettable.  The only thing that makes these sunsets even better is riding out to the rim on horseback while you watch the sun go down. Then we will head out to the campfire where you will take in the beauty of the mountain nights, roast some S’mores all while listening to our wrangler play the guitar and sing.  An experience you don’t want to miss out on.  Seats are limited as we only allow 6 riders per night.  Book early to reserve your date!

Red canyon discovery – 1 Hour Ride

Breathtaking natural wonders await as you ride horseback through the stunning beauty and majestic landscapes of Flaming Gorge. As you embark on your horseback adventure form the lodge, you’ll find yourself immersed in the rugged wilderness of the region with lush green forests, red rock formations, leaving you in awe.

As you approach the Gorge, the landscape begins to change, revealing the true grandeur of this remarkable place. The trail gradually heads to the canyon rim unveiling breathtaking views of the gorge below. The vibrant hues of the towering cliffs, ranging from deep reds and oranges to rich browns, are intensified by the warm sunlight, casting a magical glow over the entire area.

As you ride closer to the edge of the gorge, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see. The gorge itself is a marvel to behold, carved out by the Green River over millions of years, creating a dramatic and rugged landscape. The crystal-clear waters of the river wind through the canyon, reflecting the surrounding cliffs and providing a striking contrast against the vibrant blue sky above.

Pony Rides for 12 and under – 15 minutes

Don’t let your little ones miss out.  We are now offering daily pony rides right out front of Red Canyon Lodge. Your child will love getting up in the saddle and pretending to be a real cowboy or cowgirl.

Be sure to get some amazing pictures with the backdrop of our private lake.  These are memories that you and your family won’t ever forget.
