Witch Paddle fest at red canyon lodge

Dates for Witch Paddle Fest 2024 will be announced in May.

Calling all witches and warlocks! Gather your broomsticks and paddleboards for the annual Witch Paddle Fest at Red Canyon Lodge. This enchanting event is the perfect way to celebrate Halloween on the water, surrounded by fellow witches and wizards.

The festivities begin at dusk, when witches and warlocks of all ages will descend upon our private lake at Red Canyon Lodge. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best witch costumes, and to bring their own paddleboards or kayaks. Once everyone is on the water, the coven will embark on a paddleboard parade around the lake.

As the sun sets, the witches and warlocks will return to the shore for a taco bar and dancing around a cauldron campfire. 

The Witch Paddle Fest is a family-friendly event, and everyone is welcome to participate. Whether you’re a seasoned paddleboarder or a first-timer, we encourage you to come out and join us for a night of magic and fun.

Be sure to decorate your paddle board as well.  There will be prizes for the best boat/board, best costume for kids and adults, and even a prize for the best dressed dog!

Prizes include Red Canyon Lodge swag, gift cards and more!

• 5:00 PM: Arrival and check in
• 5:30 PM: Paddleboard parade around the lake
• 6:00 PM: Costume contest winners announced
• 6:30 PM: Taco bar and dancing around the cauldron campfire

Tips for making the most of your Witch Paddle Fest experience:

• Dress up in your best witch costume! The more creative, the better.
• Bring your own paddleboard or kayak, if you have one. Rentals are also available at Red Canyon Lodge.
• Arrive early to get your spot and to participate in the costume contest.
• Be prepared for all types of weather. The event will take place rain or shine.
• Bring a change of clothes and shoes, in case you get wet.
• Bring a flashlight or headlamp, for the paddleboard parade and the campfire.
• Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the magic of the Witch Paddle Fest!
